Research Project Example

The hypotheses and theses arise after developing a previous research work. These projects must follow a scientific method that gives rise to arguments that are duly verified and that are the ones that will give rise to the theses.

What is a research project?

A research project has an established structure, in this way it is considered a project with scientific or social purposes, others, it must be based on a research methodology. That structure is basically:

  • Structure
  • Summary or abstract
  • Problem formulation
  • Justification
  • Theoretical framework
  • Tentative work plan and hypothesis
  • goals
  • Method
  • Bibliographic references
  • Verbatim quotes

Regarding the types of research, 15 can be established, among which the following stand out:

  • Pure or theoretical research
  • Applied research
  • Exploratory investigation
  • Descriptive
  • Explanatory
  • Qualitative
  • Quantitative
  • Experimental research

Each of the parts of a project of this nature must be very clear and precise. It should not leave room for doubt, then, what is expected is that you raise one or more hypotheses necessary for a specific field. Research projects have a time limit in which their hypotheses are applicable , especially if it is a technological advance that will possibly soon become obsolete.

Examples of research projects

Title : Influence of a learning module with Hot Potatoes in the achievement of the capacity of understanding of information of the area of Science, Technology and Environment in the students of the 3rd grade of Secondary Education of the IE “Libertador Simón Bolívar” of the district of Pativilca – Canyon

Fragment of statement of the problem :

Every day the use of new information and communication technologies in the field of education is more frequent. The great advances and the technological strengthening that allow the use of computers, software programs, computer networks, digital libraries and access to the Internet both in teaching and learning, as well as in the management of education itself, have motivated a large part of the educational community to undertake numerous technological initiatives and aroused the interest of the rest. “The use of technology in the classroom is not new or exclusive to any level of education. However, and thanks to the development of new technologies, debates about its use take place not only in schools but also in areas that until now did not seem concerned about it ”(Litwin, 2006, P. 15).

At the level of developed countries, the computerization of society as a center of power began to concern them for decades past, which is why they have been developing multiple studies and creating Software with educational applications since the social effects of technology are more important than the economic effects. In dependent countries, not only technologically, the situation is perhaps more difficult to assess and requires the application of government policies in this strategic area. ”The implementation of global communication and information systems is already a real fact in Latin America. New technologies are penetrating through multiple ways: sometimes through the subtlety of the market; others from global restructuring that encompass the states ”(Fuentes, 2001, P. 31).

General objective:

To determine the influence of a didactic module with Hot Potatoes, in the achievement of the capacity of understanding of information of the area of Science, Technology and Environment in the students of the 3rd grade of Secondary Education of the IE “Libertador Simón Bolívar” of the District of Pativilca.

Specific Objectives:

– Identify the components of the didactic module with Hot Potatoes that influence the achievement of the ability to understand information in the area of Science, Technology and Environment in students of the 3rd grade of Secondary Education of the IE “Libertador Simón Bolívar” of the District of Pativilca .

– Evaluate the level of achievement of the ability to understand information in the area of Science, Technology and Environment prior to the application of the learning module with Hot Potatoes in the students of the 3rd year of Secondary School of the IE “Libertador Simón Bolívar” of the District of Pativilca.

– Evaluate maximum level of achievement of the ability to understand information in the area of Science, Technology and Environment After the application of the learning module with Hot Potatoes in the students of the 3rd year of Secondary School of the IE “Libertador Simón Bolívar” of the District of Pativilca

– Compare the scores obtained before the application of the experience with the maximum scores obtained after the application of the teaching module using the learning module with Hot Potatoes.
