Mesh Network Examples

Mesh topology is a network topology in which each node is connected to all nodes. In this way it is possible to carry messages from one node to another by different paths. If the mesh network is fully connected, there can be absolutely no communication interruptions. Each server has its own connections to all other servers.

Advantages:

A network with a mesh topology offers superior redundancy and reliability. In a mesh topology , each computer is connected to all other computers by separate cables. This configuration provides redundant paths throughout the network, so if one cable fails, another will take over the traffic.

Disadvantages:

Although the ease of troubleshooting and increased reliability are very interesting advantages, these networks are expensive to install as they use a lot of cabling. In many cases, the mesh topology is used in conjunction with other topologies to form a hybrid topology.
