Examples of Viviparous Animals

The  viviparous animals  are those where the embryo develops in the womb and stays for a period of gestation and should not be interrupted, this plays a depending on the animal period is about to have a baby. From a single gestation, one to several offspring can be born, all depending on the species that is going through this process. So in a summarized way it is understood that  viviparous animals are born from the mother .

Characteristics of viviparous animals

Sexual reproduction: This  is one of the main characteristics about viviparous animals, it is necessary to point out that all these beings come from within the mother.

Internal fertilization:  It will always be when the male copulates or releases sperm into the female’s reproductive system.

Maternal instinct:  When they are born from their entrails and throughout the gestation period they pass, they are animals that feel the famous “instinct of a mother” towards their young from feeding them to protecting them.

Placenta:   Most  viviparous animals are born between the mother’s placenta, in addition to being eaten by the mother during the period she gives birth. Well, although it does it as a cleaning method, it must also be taken into account that they eat it, because although they do it instinctively, it has many components that benefit the mother in that period where she is “weak” .
