Examples of present perfect

It is a bit complicated to specify what the present perfect is about , since the sentences that make up this type of verb refer to actions from the past , but at the same time they have relevance in the present. For that reason, we will show you examples that will help you understand how to elaborate the sentence.

One of the frequent doubts regarding the structure is if a sentence can be elaborated in English in the same way that we do it in Spanish. The answer is yes, which implies that learning the structure will work for both languages. For this reason, we have decided to place examples in Spanish and English.

Structure

Verb haber (“have” / ”has”) + Past Participle of the verb (Past Participle of the verb)

Data of interest

The present perfect is not only used to express something that happened, but also about something that had been repeated several times. In addition, the ending –ado –ido, irregular participles endings of -to, -so, -cho (in Spanish) and the ending –ed (in English), is the one that is placed in the verb of the sentence to define the present perfect.
