Examples of Pain

At a physiological level, pain is a subjective sensory perception that is located in a certain part of the body at a given moment, and that can be moderate, intense, annoying, uncomfortable or unpleasant. It is the result of strong stimulation of specialized sensory nerve endings.

On the other hand, pain also refers to that feeling of suffering, sadness or nostalgia that is intense and can cause diseases such as depression and others.

Examples of Physical pain

Examples of acute pain:

This is a type of pain that can be controlled and removed. It can appear due to an injury or also due to an internal problem. However, it has a cure and there are different kinds of treatments to apply them and that show improvement. One of the main things is that this kind of pain has a practically exact location.

  • Postoperative pain
  • Acute headache
  • Menstrual pain
  • Stress trauma and burns
  • Fractures
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Dental pain

Examples of chronic pain:

This is a kind of pain that doesn’t really have a cure. There are treatments that help reduce or control discomfort, but as such, they can only do this. Alternative medicine can generally be a great way to combat this type of  chronic pain.

  • Headache
  • Cancer.
  • HIV
  • Pains in the bones
