Examples of different shots in cinema

ASSEMBLY PLAN (PC)
A character immersed in a place (interior or exterior).

GENERAL PLAN (PG)
We show the character within a certain environment.

WHOLE PLANE (PE)
From head to toe, like the “last in line” record.

AMERICAN FLAT (PA) or three-quarter
No mercy on pimples.

MEDIUM LONG PLANE (PML)
Cut through the thighs.

MIDDLE FLOOR (PM)
At the waist.

SHORT MEDIUM PLANE (PMC)
Through the chest.

CLOSE-UP (PP)
We stay in the face. We can take a little reference from the shoulders as we see.

FIRST CLOSE-UP (PPP)
And it can be even more first if we want it.

If we take a plane of the eye or the mouth (or another part of the body, it is the same) it would be a DETAIL PLAN.

When we refer to things that are not people they are always DRAWINGS OF DETAIL (although sometimes there are exceptions and it can be relative).
