Examples of Chemical Reactions

The reactions chemical are processes in which one or more substances are transformed into one or more other different properties. In order for a chemical reaction to exist, there must be substances that react and substances that are formed.

The reactions chemical are processes in which one or more substances are transformed into one or more other different properties.

Examples of chemical reactions in the human body: – The main one is to degrade organic matter transforming it into energy (catabolism) – Generate larger molecules from smaller ones (anabolism). These two types of reactions

make up what we call metabolism.

More examples of reactions :

* Combustion Reactions
These are those where a hydrocarbon or an alcohol react with oxygen, from this type of reaction derive:
-Complete combustion: The products that are formed are carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (eg: C2H5OH + 3O2 & # 8594; 2CO2 + 3H2O)
-and incomplete combustions, occurs when oxygen is not enough, thus including carbon, hydrogen and carbon monoxide (eg: C12H26+O2 8594 ; CO2 + H2O + C + CO)

* Neutralization Reactions
good in this reactions the Reagents are Acids and Bases; and the products Salt and Water
Exm .: Ca (OH) 2 + H2SO4 & # 8594; CA (SO4) + 2H2O

* Precipitation reaction: characterized by the formation of an insoluble or precipitated product
Ejm: AgNo3 + HCl & # 8594; AgCl + HNO3

* Exothermic Reaction; Any chemical reaction that gives off heat is called exothermic reaction, e.g .: combustion

* Endothermic Reaction Is any chemical reaction that absorbs energy.

ejm: 6H2O + 6CO2 = C6H12O6 + 6O2
