90 Examples of Emotions

The emotions are all psychological states that we experience and that we associate with feelings. Some emotions are positive and others negative, but even some are usually seen in one classification or another depending on the context in which it occurs.

Today, emotions are taken into account to establish communication with other people: political campaigns, content creation on social networks, social campaigns, etc.

The funny thing about emotions is that they are usually very subjective . Each person will have a unique version of each of the emotions they experience, for example, not everyone will feel and express happiness in the same way.

Types of emotions

  • Basic emotions: they are the most spontaneous and that respond to a direct action in us.
  • Secondary emotions : they are derived from basic emotions.
  • Positive and negative emotions : as is evident, positive emotions are those that do not affect us physically or mentally. Negative emotions are those that lead to an unfavorable state, which can affect us in our interpersonal relationships or ourselves.
  • Social emotions : are those that are generated after presenting a feeling towards another person who is part of our environment.

Emotions generate reactions :

  • Physiological reactions. Changes in tone of voice, hormonal changes, facial expressions and body movements, etc.
  • Psychological reaction. It refers to whether we react consciously or unconsciously to emotions.
  • Behavioral reactions. It is when an emotion modifies our mood or behavior. They are very visible reactions.
